A routing check and knowledge saves the day

machinemonitor® has been supporting green energy providers. This situation occurred on a wind farm for a world-wide leading green energy provider.

As part of a routine online partial discharge screening of a wind farm high voltage network, through the use of our online partial discharge testing a fault was identified. A failure in one of the primary 33kV incomers could have led to a loss of production for half of the wind farm.

An Incomer was promptly replaced saving our customer over $2M in lost production and penalties.
