Reliability – Longevity – Sustainability; Machines Conference 2024 is keeping it ‘current’.

machinemonitor® today announced the launch of the 22nd annual Machines Conference, returning in partnership with Australian Energy Week, in Melbourne June 12 and 13 at the MCEC.

Machines Conference Dinner Returns, included in ticket price ** PLUS ** Reduced room rate, all details below.

The conference is the key knowledge and networking event for Australasia’s electrical asset plant managers and maintenance engineers in the power & energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, water utilities and large industries sectors.

“All our major industries – indeed our entire economy – runs on the back of very large rotating motors and generators, transformers, high voltage cabling and switchgear and data analytics systems, which require highly-specialised and trained professionals to maintain and run,” said Dr Jon Pemberton, machinemonitor® Director.

“This event is crucial as today’s electrical asset managers are under increasing pressure to keep costs down and extend the life of the assets and plants they manage – they face the daily dilemma to simultaneously increase production and reliability.

“Innovative solutions are needed to reduce scheduled maintenance and shutdown duration and costs; all amid the biggest electrification expansion since the industrial revolution 150 years ago.

“In direct response to industry needs, we’ve built the 2024 program on deep expertise accrued over two decades of in-field training and experience.

“This year we’ll be exploring the key themes of reliability, longevity and sustainability in practical terms and with detailed case studies that asset managers and electrical engineers can apply immediately.

“Additionally, we’ll be looking at how to manage and interpret the growing volume of condition monitoring data, potential for AI solutions and the nexus between human experience and data analytics,” Dr Pemberton continued.

“Attendees tell us that what makes Machines Conference special is that it’s the one place every year where specialists and experts can come together from across the heavy industry spectrum to learn more about these complex and critical electrical assets and to be with their professional peers.

“This year’s conference is already attracting big industry speakers; and the exclusive Machines Conference dinner will return for an informal opportunity for new friendships.

On the relationship with Australian Energy Week, Dr Pemberton said: “Merging Machines Conference with Australian Energy Week in 2023 provided visibility for the critical function of asset managers and electrical engineers to industry management.

“It takes electrical engineers years, decades even, to develop the specialised expertise needed to manage their critical and non-critical electrical assets efficiently and reliably.

“Machines Conference absolutely exposes participants to relevant solutions and concrete examples to accelerate their professional development. It is the premier opportunity where they can improve their knowledge across industries, with support from colleagues and experts,” Dr Pemberton said.
