machinemonitor® continues commitment to workplace safety with the launch of the “8 Safety Rules to Live By” poster campaign.

In the area of workplace safety, machinemonitor® continues to lead through considered initiatives that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of both our own and our customers’ teams.

With the launch of our ‘8 Rules to Live By’ Safety Poster campaign across all our teams in Australia and New Zealand, machinemonitor® proves once again why we’re a safety award-winning electrical engineering consultancy.

Spearheaded by CEO Andriy Kotykhov, the poster campaign demonstrates how machinemonitor® is a finalist alongside Bluescope Steel for the AIHS Workplace Health and Safety Champion (CEO) Award.

“This poster is more than just visuals,” said Andriy, “it's a powerful tool designed to communicate safety practices and crucial information to all teams in a visually engaging manner”.

A safety culture is a continuous journey of improvement.

Matthew McBean, machinemonitor®’s Group QHSE Manager said “as diverse as our teams might be, our commitment to safety unites us all. The new safety poster serves as a universal visual guide, effectively communicating essential safety measures to employees across all our divisions, whether our teams are on site or in the office”.

The foundation of a safe workplace is built upon comprehensive safety policies and procedures. The poster is the latest in a series of initiatives demonstrating machinemonitor®’s unwavering commitment to safety that starts in the field as online reporting technology, leads to regular reporting and safety meetings as well as comprehensive training.

In the last 18 months machinemonitor® has employed a dedicated safety manager who is fostering a culture of reporting and continuous improvement, we’ve introduced the B-herd app so that employees can report incidents directly and expanded regular reporting and testing procedures including all-teams safety meetings.

The commitment to safety extends to the meticulous process of ISO reaccreditation, securing full accreditation for the upcoming three years.

Our efforts are clearly working. We have years of historical data - and despite our teams growing – each month is an improvement on past results across all teams”, said Matthew.

“They’re in the field more but the increased awareness and training around safety has actually reduced near miss incidents and we’ve had zero time lost and zero incidents needing medical treatment”, he said.

“Our field engineers work with some of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest and most dangerous high voltage machines and equipment. We’re proud that they have all been trained to not just look out for themselves but be just as mindful of coworkers and staff onsite”, said Andriy.

machinemonitor® works on high voltage critical and non-critical electrical assets across power, energy, mining, oil and gas, water and other utilities, manufacturing and infrastructure. Safety is equally critical to us as it is to our customers.
