About Our Company

machinemonitor® is a highly respected Electrical Engineering Consultancy firm that offer clients support in the life cycle management of high voltage (HV) electrical assets including: Motors, Generators, Switchgear, Cables, Transformers and Auxiliary equipment.

We are seeking Electrical Engineers to join our teams in Brisbane office and Newcastle offices. The ideal candidate will have passion for electrical engineering, in particular HV testing. 

This role IS for you if…

You want to be working with large HV assets and travel to work in remote areas of Australia.  If you want to be responsible for testing electrical systems and assets, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.

You will be working in some of the largest highest profile mines, oil/gas and manufacturing companies in Australia and you will be liaising directly with very senior members of the staff of these international companies.  In performing your duties you will be working within small teams led by one of our Senior Electrical Engineers, depending upon the services we are performing.

This role is NOT for you if… you are after a workshop-base or office-based position.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • A Member of the Australian Institute of Engineers

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and risk assessment

Key Objectives

You’ll learn to use some of the most sophisticated HV instruments and equipment in Australiasia.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

  • A passion for Electrical engineering and a strong desire to be challenged

  • Communicate with personnel to provide a consistent, reliable and high level of service

  • Prepared to travel to customer sites to perform testing

  • Perform calculations and analysis for electrical testing
